Toboggan at Tegelburg Mountain
Tegelburg Mountain is a hotspot for extreme sports, but don't miss the summer toboggan on the lower slopes. Slide your way down the mountain, with the fresh air whistling past. Afterwards, take the cable car up to the summit for amazing views of Neuschwanstein Castle.
Visit Neuschwanstein Castle
If only one castle existed in the world, it would have to be Neuschwanstein. With its white walls and turrets rising above the forest of Hohenschwangau valley, this beautiful castle was the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Take a guided tour around the stunning interior (book in advance!), before snapping yet another photo from the outside.
Visit the Berlin Wall, Berlin
The Berlin Wall, cutting the city into East and West, was a symbol of the division of Germany and its bloody 20th century history. Though few pieces of the Wall remain, visit these to learn more about Berlin's tragic past. Key sights include the Berlin Wall Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie and the East Side Gallery.
Spot street art, Berlin
Berlin is recognised as one of the street art capitals of the world, and visiting some of its prominent pieces is always a good idea. Join a street art walking tour to discover the city's popular artists and styles, exploring areas such as Mitte, Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.
Sail on Lake Constance
Stretching between Germany, Switzerland and Austria, Lake Constance is a wonderful stop for all Central European travellers. Visit the charming towns of Konstanz and Lindau, before heading out onto the lake for some well-deserved fun.
Visit Cologne Cathedral
With its iconic black facade and Gothic decoration, Cologne Cathedral is one of the most recognisable churches in Europe. After visiting the interior, climb up 533 steps to be rewarded with magical views across the city.
