24 hours in Seville may not be long, but it’s enough time to realise why so many people praise this Spanish city. You’ll find royal palaces here, as well as a dramatic catholic church, beautiful parks, and a contemporary edge in stores, restaurants and bars. Santa Cruz is a beautiful neighbourhood to explore on foot. Previously the Jewish quarter, this vibrant region of the city is defined by narrow streets, thriving tapas bars and interesting museums. It’s a great place in which to get lost and track down a high-quality meal. After lunch it might be a good idea to have a traditional Spanish siesta.

Alameda de Hércules may have the reputation for the best nightlife in Seville, but it’s worth a visit even if you’re not partying the night away. There are several open-air restaurants perfect for people watching, and if the mood takes you it’s easy to find a bit of live music before turning in for the night.

If you have some time to spend before you depart, take a gentle stroll or cycle along Guadalquivir, Seville’s beautiful large river. It’s the fifth longest river in the Iberian Peninsula, and runs past several popular attractions like Torre del Oro, San Telmo, and Parque de Maria Luisa.
