This depends first and foremost on where you want to go. If you're planning to visit a single country, you can choose a One Country Pass. If you want to visit multiple countries, the Global Pass (valid in 33 European countries) is your best bet.

You can get your mobile Pass ready for travel in three easy steps. You can do them all at once, or start now and finish later.

 

Before you start, make sure you have the latest version of our Rail Planner app on your device. You'll need an internet connection to use some features in the app while travelling with your mobile Pass. The mobile Pass is supported on Android 6.0 and later and iOS 16.0 and later.

You can use your Pass to travel on the national railways and some private railways in the countries where your Pass is valid. In some cases, these train networks reach airports as well. Check the full list here. 

 

The Pass even includes certain buses and ferries to make sure everything is within reach.

Your country of residence is the country in which you have citizenship or are a legal resident. It must be the country in which you reside for the majority of your time.

The duration of a Pass depends on the type of Pass you have purchased. If you have already purchased your paper Pass, your end date is written on the top of your Pass. That is the last day your Pass is valid – you can use it up until midnight.

 

For a mobile Pass, the validity of the Pass can be found in the 'My Pass' tab under the 'Validity Period' section in the Rail Planner app.
