What is an Interrail Pass?
The Interrail Pass is a single rail pass that lets you travel as much as you want on the networks of participating European railway and ferry companies for a set amount of travel days. There are different validities you can choose from, ranging from just 4 travel days up to a maximum of 3 months.
You can travel with an Interrail Global Pass, which is valid in 33 European countries, or pick one of the Interrail One Country Passes.
Many trains can be boarded just by showing staff your Interrail Pass. However, if you travel at busy times, on popular routes, or on certain trains (high-speed trains and night trains), then you will need a seat reservation for an extra fee to secure your plans.
Interrail Passes are for you if you’re a citizen or legal resident of a European country (yes, that includes the UK!). If not, you'll need to travel with a Eurail Pass.
