Great Britain
With three countries in one, a Great British bucket list was a little tricky. We've tried to include a bit of everything - waking up in Wales, hiking in the Highlands and laughing in London. Don't forget to pack your raincoat!
Ride a red bus in London
London's double decker red buses are nothing less than iconic. Hop on one to take you to another part of the city and watch the world go by from the top deck. You can even try a special red bus tour for a more immersive experience, or simply join Londoners on their daily commutes. All payments are cashless, so remember to check if your card works first!
Go on a ghost tour, Edinburgh
Scotland's capital city is worthy of a full holiday in itself, but some activities should be compulsory. With its shadowy alleyways and dark past, Edinburgh is the perfect place to embark on a ghost tour, exploring the city's gruesome secrets.
Go village-hopping in the Cotswolds
You've probably seen pictures of the Cotswolds on a chocolate box or a jigsaw puzzle. These charming villages, set amongst streams and rolling countryside, are often given as the image of England. Get sucked into the past as you stroll around the narrow streets, passing thatched cottages and stone houses.
Watch the sunrise, Snowdonia
You can't go to Wales without visiting the Snowdonia National Park: a breathtaking display of mountains stretching above the green. Head up Snowdon at sunrise, and watch the sky glow from the summit of Wales' tallest mountain. Don't want to get up early? Take the Snowdon Railway up the side of the mountain, and prepare for incredible views.
Explore Oxford
Oxford is only an hour's journey from London and is well worth the trip. You can easily spend a whole day exploring the streets of this ancient university town, wondering when Harry Potter will appear. Check out Oxford University's stunning colleges, before settling down for a cup of tea and a piece of cake. The perfect English afternoon!
Hike in the Highlands
The Highlands of Scotland are filled with jaw-dropping beauty. From lochs like Loch Ness to the dizzying heights of Ben Nevis, there's so much for you to explore in this northern wilderness. Try wild camping in the mountains, stargazing in the meadows and, of course, try to spot the Loch Ness Monster...
Go surfing, Newquay
The south-west corner of England is known for its (relatively) sunny skies, sandy beaches and general holiday atmosphere. Head to Newquay in Cornwall for a spot of surfing, considered one of the best places to surf in Britain. After an exhilarating session, head up to the town to try a traditional Cornish pasty. Trust us, you'll never be the same!
Take the West Highland Line, Scotland
Many train journeys are magical, but this one really wins. With its rugged mountains, mysterious lochs and endless moors, this scenic railway cuts across ancient, uninhabited land. And, the best part? Follow the route of the Hogwarts Express across the Glenfinnan Viaduct, finally living your Harry Potter dreams.
Love the Lake District
With endless hills, shimmering lakes and striking mountains, England's Lake District National Park is a spectacular outdoor destination. Home of poets, artists and writers, this rugged landscape is perfect for all the family.
Visit the Tower of London
There's far too much to do in London when you've only got limited time, but you've got to visit the Tower. Standing next to the River Thames, the Tower of London is an iconic 900-year old castle and fortress, symbolising a large part of British history. Head inside to learn about this structure and to see the Crown Jewels. If you're visiting in the winter months, don't forget to check out the ice rink on the moat!
