Your Pass lives inside our app on your phone. In the app, you can search train timetables, save journeys and show your Interrail ticket on board the train.
For most trains in Europe, you can simply hop on and sit down with your Interrail Pass. But to travel on high-speed trains and night trains, you'll usually need to book an additional seat reservation to travel with your Pass.
Seat reservations aren't included in the cost of your Pass, but guarantee you a seat on busy high-speed trains for an extra fee, which is set by the railway companies. You'll also need to pay an extra fee to book a seat or bed on most night trains. You can book most seat reservations through our reservations tool, in our app or direct from the railway company.

With point-to-point tickets, all it takes is one delay, cancellation or missed connection to mess up your plans. Choosing a train journey over short-haul flights is a great way to limit your impact on the environment, and since trains have no luggage restrictions and take you direct to the city centre, its an easy decision to make.
